The family of Clair Amedée Painchaud of Wakaw, SK and formerly of Vonda, SK announce his passing after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Clair leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 55 years, Rita Painchaud (nee Bussière). He will be forever loved by his children and grandchildren; Denis (Ingrid) – Nathaniel (Becca) and Gabriel (Jordyn) Painchaud of Sherwood Park, AB; Joanne (George) – Claire and Maxwell Mueller of Saskatoon, SK; Lise (Scott) – Emanuel and Jorell Kalinski of Vernon, BC; Guy (Heidi) – Roène Painchaud of Toronto, ON; he will be forever missed by his siblings; Diane Browne, Denise Deschamps, Muriel Kasun and Estelle Dicus and their families as well as by his extended family on the Bussière side. Clair was predeceased by his parents, Ludger and Corona Painchaud and by his younger brother Denis. The family wishes to thank the amazing staff at St. Paul’s Hospital-Palliative Care Unit for their kindness and compassion over the last 4 weeks. Thanks also to the staff at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre, Dr. Fourney, Dr. Kundapur, Dr. Sami as well as the nursing staff on the 6th floor Oncology Department at the Royal University Hospital. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Philippe de Néri Roman Catholic Church in Vonda, SK on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 10:30 am. Interment of the Urn will follow in th St. Philippe de Néri Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Clair may be directed to the Close to Home Hospice Campaign. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK
