Obituary of Doreen Myrtle Thompson
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Doreen Myrtle (Peddle) Thompson announces her passing, which occurred on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Shannex Tucker Hall. Born in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary Jane (Avery) Peddle.
Doreen is survived by her son Kenneth Thompson (Doris) of St. John’s, NFLD; daughter Mary Lou Reid (David) of Saint John, NB; grandchildren Jillian MacKinnon (Peter), Jay Reid (Reaghan), Kelly Ann Thompson, and Erin Ballah (Chad); great-grandchildren Jake, Rachel, Christian, Caden, and Conor, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Ray Thompson; brothers Norman and Lloyd Peddle; sister Betty DeChamp; grandson Christopher Thompson.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John NB (634-7424). As per the family’s request, there will be no visitation. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from the Brenan’s Chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Fernhill Cemetery.
