It is with great sadness that the family of Yvonne “Aunty Joy” Louise Germain announces her passing after complications of open heart surgery, on the early morning of September 2nd 2019, at the age of 74.
Yvonne ‘Aunty Joy’ will be lovingly remembered by her only son Gareth, his wife Kaitlin and granddaughter Layla, as well as her six siblings, Orville (Beverley), Audrey, Orlean (Dennis), Errol (Giselle) Dorothy and Jennifer (Kenneth). Aunty Joy will also be dearly missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
A visitation will be held at DeMarco Funeral Home located at 3725 Keele Street, North York, on Friday September 13th 2019 from 4pm to 8pm.
The funeral will be held at Revivaltime Tabernacle located at 4340 Dufferin Street, North York, commencing at 11am Saturday September 14th 2019. Following the funeral a luncheon will be held in the Junior Rank’s Mess of Dennison Armories, 1 Yukon Lane, North York.
Aunty Joy will be repatriated to Jamaica with a prayer service scheduled for Friday September 20th 2019, at 7pm at the Carnie Tabernacle Church located in the Carnie District of Alexandria, St Ann, Jamaica. The funeral will be on Saturday September 21st 2019 at 12pm, also at the Carnie Tabernacle Church. The internment will follow at the Germain Family plot located in Bennetsfield, St Ann Jamaica.
