Obituary for
Victor Orr
Orr, Lawrence Victor (popularly known as Vic),
Died at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener on Sept. 13, 2019 two days before his 87th birthday after a short illness. He was preceded by his beloved wife of 54 years, Beverley (Todd), his son Paul, his parents Norman and Helen (Lines) of Echo Bay, ON and his younger brother Ron of Alymer. He is survived by his daughter Barbara and her husband Dave Potje and his beloved granddaughter Shelby. His older brother Hugh, with his wife Leone and their children, carry on the family.
Vic served in the RCAF before joining Bell Canada where he worked for 31 years. He was happily retired for many years volunteering, woodworking and fiddling with his computers, and recently bought himself another house in Kitchener which he thoroughly enjoyed for the last year of his life.
At Vic’s request no service will be held and cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of the 5th floor at St. Mary’s for their great care of Vic. We are most grateful. In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
