LAFRENIÈRE, Victor
The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of Madeleine (née Bédard) Lafrenière of Sturgeon Falls. Son of the late Osias and the late Alma (née Nadon) Lafrenière. Loving father of Jo-Anne Pilon (Roger) of Capreol, Colette McInnes (Shawn) of North Bay and Monique Lafrenière (Jeff) of London. Predeceased by his siblings Rhéal Lafrenière (Jeannette) and Francine Osborne (late Ozzie) both from Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Lianne Gills (Jamie) of Val Therese, Josée Pilon (Zach), Crystale Pilon (Andrew) both of Capreol, Jesse Tremblay (Lindsey), Julianna Sgromo, Jayden McInnes and Justice McInnes all of North Bay and great-grandfather of Maya, Mylee, Mirabelle, Annaveya, Drake, Ty and Charlee. Sadly missed by brothers and sister in laws, Conrad Bédard (Rita), Guertrude Dupuis (Don), François Bédard (Pauline), Richard Bédard (Angela) plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. Victor will be forever remembered as a social man with a GENUINE HEART, who loved having conversations with folks. Followed by his retirement at Inco in 1993, he enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors. He also cherished his camping, he was happiest when surrounded by his family. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree, Council 9049, Verner. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. The family will receive relatives and friends for a CELEBRATION OF LIFE, Friday, September 27, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Lion’s Club Hanmer, 4611 St- Joseph Street. A light lunch, refreshments will be offered. A procession to the Hanmer Cemetery on Gravel Drive will follow, where he will be laid to rest.
