Obituary of Tena Coady
Coady, Flora Christena « Tena », 70, of Havre Boucher, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 in the QEII, Halifax. Born in Antigonish she was a daughter of the late Joe and Maye (Walker) MacKenzie.
Tena was known for unconditional love for her grandchildren and her pets, leaving behind her dog, Benny. Tena was the main thread that held our family together. She reminded us of the importance of forgiveness and always moving forward. Something we all try to mirror. She had a great sense of humour that usually was evident in the belly laughs heard coming from her grandchildren. They will miss her hugs. She will be missed in every corner of our lives.
Surviving are daughters, Sharleen (Eric) Nielsen, Halifax and Tammy (Tim Parker) MacKinnon, Halifax, grandchildren, Martin MacKinnon (Nicole), Samantha Nielsen, Jack Nielsen and Emily MacKinnon.
She was predeceased by her husband, R.J. Coady, brother, Martin Walker, granddaughter, Robyn MacKinnon.
Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm on Friday in St. Paul’s Centre, Havre Boucher. Funeral Mass Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Paul’s Church, Havre Boucher, Rev. Allan MacPhie presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers please feel free to donate to the Nova Scotia SPCA. www.MacIsaacs.ca
