Sydney Greenberg
With grace, dignity and strength, Sydney Greenberg made his peaceful transition, in the morning of September 28, 2019, at home, surrounded by his beloved wife and children. Syd will be forever loved and missed by his wife of sixty years, Sheila Gold, his children, Marleen and Dave, Gail and Keith, Jonathan and Karen, and his adored grandchildren, Mira, Ava, David, and Gavin. Predeceased by his parents, Ray and Hymie, sister Claire (the late Ralph), and sister-in-law Josie. He will be missed by his brother-in-law Phil (Myrna), many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. As he wished, Syd worked until the end, traveling the world with Sheila, his life and work partner. He was greatly admired and respected by his colleagues. Special thanks to the staff of CLSC Côte-des-Neiges and NOVA for their support as we cared for him at home these past two weeks. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, October 2 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Chevra Thilim Pinsker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his home. In lieu of gifts or flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
Syd will be remembered as a real mensch.
