Obituary of Stella McLeod
Stella Odessa McLeod, Westville, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 in Valley View Villa, Riverton.
Born in Roachvale Road, Guysborough Co., May 18, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lexie (Worth) Gosbee.
Stella married Gordon B. McLeod of Westville on July 3, 1953. She was a member of St. Paul United Church, the Mariam Unit and the U.C.W. She was a former member of Session, Young People’s and C.G.I.T. Stella taught Sunday School and Messengers. She was a Past Honourary Member of the L.O.B.A., Acadia Sisters 609, and L.O.B.A. Lodge Nova Scotia. She was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #35; member of the Michelin Retiree Group and Thursday afternoon cribbage.
She is survived by daughter Gail Copp (Bryce); grandchildren, Jo-Anne Ferguson (Aaron), Crystal Copp and Bryce »BJ »Copp; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Jonah Ferguson; Skylar and Harmony Lynch; brother Victor; sisters-in-law, Leah Gosbee and Amy Gosbee.
She was predeceased by her husband Gordon; her son Joseph and daughter-in-law Wanda; infant son Gordon Allen; brothers, William, George, John Gosbee and sisters, Margaret Zwicker(Murray) and Bertha Silver (Harry) ; father and father-in-law, Harry and Bessie McLeod; sisters-in-law, Ruby Gosbee.
Family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 1- 2:30 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be held 3 o’clock Wednesday from St. Paul United Church, Westville with Rev. Dr. Mary Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Auburn Cemetery.
