Obituary of Samuel (Sam) George Kelba
KELBA, Samuel George passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 8, 2019 in his 84th year. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Janice (neé McCutcheon) Kelba. Cherished father to Brett, Lisa and Jody (Cyndi). Proud grandfather of Taylor and Aidan. Beloved brother to Garry and Robert. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Caroline (Elaschuk) Kelba. Sam retired from his love of teaching after 35 Years in 1993. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. Sam spent many hours on the golf course with his friends. Sam’s family would like to thank the staff at the Welland General Hospital and Hamilton General Hospital ICU for their compassion and kindness they provided. The family will be receiving family and friends at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. in the Davidson Chapel. Private family interment will take place at Overholt Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Welland SPCA or a charity of your choice.
