RoseMarie Phaneuf
January 18, 1943 – September 8, 2019
RoseMarie passed away at home on September 8, 2019 at the age of 76. She was born to Herman and Helen Parenteau of Wakaw, SK.
RoseMarie married Ed Phaneuf on July 15, 1961. Together they raised 3 sons Rodney; Vincent (Janice) and children Davis (Dustin) and Austin; and Richard (Tammy) and children Hannah and Connor.
RoseMarie worked 29 years for Social Services, retiring April 1, 2003. She and her family spent a lot of their time at the cabin at Waskesiu Lake. She and Edward enjoyed travelling to ski and to play golf. They spent part of the winter in Hemet, California.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years Edward; her children and grandchildren; three sisters Gillian (David) Iddiols of Comox, BC, Kathleen Zolinsky of Cudworth, SK and Christine (Tom) Wunderlich of Cudworth, SK; four brothers Wilfred (Marilyn) Parenteau of Saskatoon, SK, Douglas (Bonnie) Parenteau of Sudbury, ON, Edward Parenteau of Lethbridge, AB, Kelly Parenteau of Wakaw, SK; sisters-in-law Carol Parenteau and Denise Parenteau; brothers-in-law Alex Hnatuk of Calgary, AB; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Herman and Helen Parenteau; her sisters Verna (George) Oleksyn, Thelma Hnatuk and Denise Peterkin; her brothers Hubert, Richard and David; her sister-in-law Paulette Parenteau; and her brother-in-law John Zolinsky.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Kriel, Jaclyn and all the nurses of the Palliative Home Care Unit.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be sent to Rose Garden Hospice, PO Box 2092, Prince Albert, SK S6V 5R3. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
