Rose Nadine Doyle
1921-2019
Rose Nadine Doyle – age 97, of South Alton,
passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 in the Valley Regional
Hospital, Kentville. Born in New Ross, one of 17 children, she was a
daughter of the late Emerson and Winnie (Meister) Redden. Rose moved
from New Ross to the Valley at an early age with her family where she
grew up in Mount Denson. She attended school in Mount Denson and
Hantsport High School. Rose and her husband, Raymond
« Pat », in their younger years, enjoyed attending
card parties and belonged to the square dancing club. They
were also members of the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church,
Kentville. She is survived by her sons, Frank Doyle and Terry (Teresa)
Doyle; daughter-in-law, Debbie Doyle, all of South Alton; sisters,
Helen (Jim) Adie, Comox, BC; Birdie Moores, Halifax; brothers, Hughie
Redden, South Alton; Harold (Clara) Redden, Cambridge; 11
grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She
was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Raymond
« Pat »; daughter, Margaret (Tony) vanKippersluis;
son, Brian; sisters, Rita Bowman, Virginia Bilgen, Gladys Hunt, Hazel
Lake and Mary Schurman; brothers, Terrence and Earl, both in infancy,
Robert, Basil, Clyde, Chesley and Emery.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on
Sunday, September 22, 2019 in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by reception,
will take place at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2019,
Father John MacPherson officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy
Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the
Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
