With great sorrow the family of Maureen Shaw (nee Perrin), announces her death on Saturday September 14, 2019 at her log home on the Ottawa River, Pembroke, Ontario in her 86th year.
Maureen Shaw, beloved wife for 60 years of Herb Shaw, dearly loved mother of Lisa Maureen Shaw-Verhoek (Hendrik), Perth, Lana Joan Shaw (Jim Stevenson), Orleans, Lisbeth Shaw, Peterborough and Dana Shaw (Stephanie), Pembroke.
Loving Gran to Emily Maureen Verhoek (Andrew Rous), Perth, Ryan Verhoek (Victoria Coulas), Ottawa, Grace Cullen (Jeremy Welch), Port of Spain, Trinidad, Sean Cullen (Elise Dingman), Peterborough, Milo Cullen (Taylor Armitage), Peterborough, Remick, Connor, Nicole and Scott Shaw, all of Pembroke.
Special Great Gran to Carson Verhoek Rous, and Shaw Verhoek Rous, Perth.
Dearly loved sister of Joan Maxwell (predeceased) (Jim) Charlotte, North Carolina, and Brad Perrin (Joan Winton Perrin), London.
Dear sister-in-law of Mernie James (predeceased) (Rodney) Okotoks, Alberta, predeceased by brother-in-law Johnnie Shaw (Barbara), and brother-in-law Donald Shaw (Shirley).
Dear aunt of Dean, Shane, Cary, Christopher, and Bradford Maxwell, Chad Perrin (Kelly), Amy Ogg-Perrin (Scott), Heather Tillotson (Keith), Robbie Blakney (Barbara), Dawn Leslie Shaw (predeceased), John Shaw (Nancy) and Kimberley Shaw.
She was predeceased by her parents Joe and Rita Perrin (nee Amyotte) and her in-laws Herb and Grace Shaw (nee Leech).
Maureen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; a talented cook, gardener, photographer, a woman of great faith and spirituality, and a special cousin and kind friend to many.
Thanks to Dr. Melissa Toupin, Dr. Declan Rowan and Dr. Jason Sack for their considerate and excellent care.
In keeping with Maureen’s wishes, a private family funeral was led by Father Bill Kenney. Cremation has occurred and interment will take place at Lake Dore Point Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
In remembrance of Maureen, the family requests that you take time to enjoy a sunset.
