Lauria Cormier
1949-2019
Lauria Cormier, 70 of Saint-Antoine and formerly of
Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away on arrival at the UHC Dr Georges
…L. Dumont, Moncton on Tuesday September 24, 2019. Lauria was
out moose hunting when he took ill. He was married to the late Gloria
(Melanson) Cormier (2009). Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the
late Alonzo and late Domelda (Bastarache) Cormier.
Lauria was an avid hunter.
He will be sadly missed by his two children; Gabrielle Cormier
Melanson (Michel) of Dieppe, Martin (Marielle) of Saint-Antoine, his
four grandchildren; Amélie, Lucas, Danie and Jacob. He also
leaves to mourn his five sisters; Aurella DesRoches (Raymond) of
Greater Lakeburn, Francine Despres (Joseph) of McKee’s Mills,
Norma Cormier (Jean-Marie LeBlanc) of Bouctouche, Rosemonde Pellerin
of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Odette Allain of Leominster, MA, her two
brothers; Léandre of Saint-Antoine, Clarence of
Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, a special friend; Joanne Poirier of Rogersville
as well as several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by two sisters; Nicole and Angela and three
brothers; Raymond, Donald and Claude.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman
Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, on Friday
September 27, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. A funeral Mass
will be celebrated at the Sainte-Marie-de-Kent Church on Friday
September 27, 2019 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish
cemetery.
In Lauria’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart and
Stroke Foundation.
