Mr. Joe Dertinger of Delrose Retirement Residence, Delhi, passed away after a lengthy illness at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital , on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 in his 91st year. Joe was a life long Farm & Irrigation and Fertilizer merchant in a career that spanned 38 years. Loving dad of Anne Varey (Brian). Cherished grandpa of Ryan Varey (Melissa) and Carrie Winchairyk (Paul). Also survived by many nephews and nieces. He will be missed by his best furry friend, Abby. Predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Chalk) Dertinger (2000), by his brothers, Vincent (2003) and Jack (2015), and by his sister, Marion Thorne (1985). The family would like to thank the staff at Tillsonburg Hospital — they went above and beyond — for their generous loving care, and the quality care of the PSW care workers. A Private Family Service will take place.
