It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johanna Apps (nee: Van Den Berg). Born in Haarlem, Holland on March 12th, 1936, passed on August 31st, 2019 quietly at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Hospital. Daughter of the late Jacobus and Johanna Van Den Berg. Beloved wife to Gerald (Gerry) Apps for 53 years. Loving mother to Theresa Romard, Brenda Hellingman, Mike Apps, Kim Senour and the late Ilse Themen. Grandmother to Casey, Corey, Caitlyn, Greg, Brad, Emily, Reece, Ashley, Chantel, and Kolby. Great grandmother of Bodhi. Sister of Nel, Jaap, Tineke Kees, the late Hennie and the late Arnold. She will be missed by family, friends and relatives from Canada, Holland, United States, and Australia. Celebration of Life to be held at Branch 43 Legion in Oshawa on the 13th of September from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. If desired donations may be made to the Branch 43 Legion Poppy Fund.
