Obituary of Janet Burggraaf
Burggraaf, Jantien « Janet » (nee Koopman)
Janet went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the CKHA-Chatham Campus at the age of 86.
She was born on January 3, 1933 in The Netherlands and was the daughter of the late Reinier and Berendina (nee Oving) Koopman.
Beloved wife of Arie “Mr. B” Burggraaf (2002).
Loving mother of Johanna and Brian Tremblay of Chatham, Raymond and Cheryl Burggraaf of Ridgetown, Frank and Sharon Burggraaf of Chatham, Brenda and Greg Bester of Waterloo, Arlene and Don VanGerven of Chatham, Anthony and Rena Burggraaf of London, Sylvia and Ron Griffore of Dover Centre, Arthur Burggraaf of Chatham and Bernard Burggraaf of Chatham.
Sadly missed by 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Dear sister and sister-in-law of Tom and Corrie Koopman of The Netherlands, Martin Rintjema, Rena Warner of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Diane and Nick Zuidema, Linda and Harry Sluys all of Chatham, Ray Koopman of Lucan, Bill and Wilma Koopman of London and Nellie and Rein DeVries of Townsend.
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother Bertus Koopman (1970) and her sister Pearl Rintjema (2010).
Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be held at Living Hope Free Reformed Church, 159 Gregory Dr., E. Chatham, ON, on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11 a.m., with Pastor Tim Bergsma, officiating.
Interment will be held in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
