James D. Brown
1924-2019
Peacefully, with his daughter Darlene by his side, at the
Summerset Manor, Summerside on Thursday September 5, 2019 of James D.
Brown formerly of Kensington, aged 95 years. Veteran of the Second
World War. Born in Long River, March 15, 1924 son of the
late Allan and Mae (Paynter) Brown. Husband of the late
Edythe C. (Stavert) Brown. Survived by daughter Darlene
(Jerry) Thompson, brothers and sisters, Jennie Constable, Amy Reeves
(Bruce Champion), Grafton Brown, Keith (Mabel) Brown and Irwin
(Heather) Brown, brother-in-law of Ruth Mountain, Olive
Jollimore, Leota (Keith) Dykeman, Gladys Stavert, Lois Daley and Elmer
Cannon. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Predeceased by brothers Lloyd and Clifford Brown, sister
Jeanetta Reeves, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Willard Constable,
Vernon Reeves, Eric Holmes, Isabel Brown, Norman
Reeves, Walter (Mae) Stavert, Albert Stavert, Jean Paynter,
Pearl Cannon, Robert (Bob) Jollimore, Robert Mountain, Bill Daley and
Vernon Paynter.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation
on Tuesday from 10-11:30 a.m., followed by a legion service by the
Comrades of Lt. Col. E.W. Johnstone Branch # 9.
Funeral Tuesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel following
the legion service. Interment in
People’s Cemetery Kensington. If so desired contributions
may be made to the Kensington People’s Cemetery Fund.
