Obituary
Herbert Fritzler passed away in Calgary on Thursday September 19, 2019 at the age of 103 years.
Herbert was born on the family farm near Vulcan to Peter and Molly Fritzler. He was the third youngest and the last surviving of nine siblings. He is also predeceased by his wife, Rosina since 1978. They were married for 39 years at the time of her passing.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Kenneth (Virginia, deceased), Phillip (Ruth), Norman (Carolyn) and Darlene (Chester, deceased); 10 grandchildren, Kerry Fritzler, Brian Fritzler, David Fritzler, Sherry Borchert, Keith Fritzler, Connie Albrecht, Craig Fritzler, Dean Fraser, Tiffany (Emmanuel) Fraser and Justin (Sandy) Fraser; 18 great-grandchildren, Cody, Braedon, Crystal, Cory, Dustin, Michael, Ethan (Autumn), Elsa (Rhett), Braedon, Jaydon, Ashlen, Alex, Corrie (Jeremy), Kristen, Evan, Abigail, Esther, and David; and 3 great-great grandchildren, Noah, Chloe and Rhalton.
Herbert was quiet, gentle and humble. He had a very strong faith in God and Jesus. He spent many years involved in the Vulcan Country Evangelical United Brethren and then spent many years as a deacon in the Champion Evangelical Free Church.
He enjoyed fishing and gardening but most of all spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Herbert’s Life will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 10:00 am.
