Henry « Hank » Wiebe
WIEBE, Henry (Hank) –Peacefully passed away Friday September 6, 2019 at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of Willie for 61years, and cherished father of David (Tracy) and Diane (Dan)
Adored grandpa of Carlie(Chris), Courtney(Jesse), Robyn, Brandon and Jillian and precious Papa Hank of Landen and Layla Grace. Hank was born and raised in Reesor Ontario until the age of 9 when his family moved to Niagara Falls. Predeceased by his parents, Jacob (1974) and Anganetha (1982) and his siblings Nettie, Mary, Jake (Marie), Helen (Helmut) and John (Nancy).Hank leaves his sister JoAnne (John) and his youngest brother Dr.David Wiebe(Cheryl) as well as many nieces and nephews.
For 38 years Hank worked for Canada Customs and enjoyed working with his co-workers and dear friend Don McManus. Hank enjoyed many years of bowling, reading and more recently working on jigsaw puzzles. The greatest joy for Hank was spending time with family and he truly loved each one. He and Willie liked to travel and often took extended car trips, train and bus tours and several lovely cruises. For many years Hank has been an active member of the Stamford Presbyterian Church and has made special friends throughout the congregation. Hank was loved and admired by everyone who knew him including some wonderful neighbours in our condo. He will be truly missed because of his smile and sense of humour. The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St., on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday 10-11 am. A service to commemorate the life of Hank, will be held at Morse & Son on Wednesday at 11 am. Committal will follow at Stamford Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
