Mary Helene Ballantyne, age 82, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on September 3, 2019. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late James and Ruby (Murray) Barr. Helene and her husband Allan lived and farmed at RR# 3 Stratford most of their lives. She was a member of Avonton Presbyterian Church.
Beloved wife of the late Allan Ballantyne who predeceased her in 2015. Loving mother of Marie McNamara (Dan), Rick Ballantyne (Jan), Lori Heaman (Mike), Trevor Ballantyne (Angie). Grandmother of Bridget (Jack), Rachel, Ryan (Lindsay), Jocelyn (Garrett), Cody, Brady, Sydney and great-grandmother of Florence. Predeceased by a brother in infancy, a sister Ruth Patton (Warren), brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Helen and Ralph Schellenberger, Jack and Inez Flanagan and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Agnes and Jim Ballantyne
Friends and relatives will be received at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, September 7, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. A reception will follow. Interment at Avonbank Cemetery.
