Gerard Joseph Thompson, previously of 60 Pugsley Avenue, passed peacefully on August 30, 2019. He was the son of the late John and Margaret (McCormick) Thompson. His later years he lived at Victoria House where he received wonderful care and kindness.
Gerry recently celebrated his 50th Reunion from St. Malachy’s High School and had successfully attended every reunion. He was very active in the Genealogy Society. As a lifetime member of St. Pius X church, he sang in the choir for years.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). After cremation, visitation will be held on Tuesday form 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Parish (formerly St. Pius X Church), 316 Somerset Street on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 9am. For those who wish, memorial donations made in Gerry’s name to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by his family.
