It is with broken hearts that the
family of the late EYMARD D. SLANEY of
Burin, formerly of St. Lawrence announces his passing.
Eymard passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin
on Monday, September 30th, 2019 at the age of
80. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories
are his daughters, Teri Slaney of Iqaluit, and Tina Kirby (Roger) of
Calgary; sons, Tim Slaney (Yvonne) of Iqaluit, and Todd Slaney
(Brenda) of St. John’s; grandchildren, Sarah, Bryan,
Jonathan, Abbey, and Nicole; great-granddaughters, Emery and Addison;
plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Eymard was predeceased by his wife,
Sadie Slaney.
In honoring his wishes,
cremation will take place.
The Slaney Family will be accepting visitors at
Wiseman’s Funeral Homes, Salt Pond on Friday,
October 4th from 10am-4pm & 7pm-9pm. A Funeral Mass
at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Burin at a time to
be announced.
In Eymard’s
memory, donations may be made to a charity of one’s
choice.
