Obituary of Ernest John Langley
LANGLEY, Ernest John “Ernie” – Peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, Setpember 19, 2019 at the Toronto General Hospital in the C.V.I.C.U. in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Jackie for 35 years. Loving father of Barbara, Jewel, Blossom (Dave), Ernest Jr., Melinda (Tony) and Tina. Proud grandfather of 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Ethel, George (Lorraine), Doris (Shane) and the late Phylis (Bruce). Predeceased by his parents Ralph and Charlotte “Lottie” Langley. Ernie was greatly loved and will be missed by all his family and friends.
Ernie was a dedicated volunteer with the Leta-Brownscombe Co-operative homes. He also served on the board for 18 years. A visitation will be held at the ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough on Wednesday, September 25th from 7 – 9 p.m. and Thursday, September 26th from 12 – 1 p.m. with a Funeral service to begin in the Chapel at 1 p.m. A reception will follow at the Leta-Brownscombe Co-op, 243 Milroy Drive in the commons room.
