Cynthia Denise Daigle
1948-2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cynthia Denise
Daigle of Oak Bay, wife of Charles Daigle, which occurred on Friday,
September 27, 2019 at the Charlotte County Hospital, surrounded by
family. Born at Black’s Harbour, Cindy was the daughter of the
late Robert and Patricia (Connors) Justason.
Cindy worked for 35 years at Guy R. Day Insurance, first as a travel
agent, and most recently as an insurance broker, retiring in 2018.
She and Charles loved to travel, with Clearwater Beach in Florida
being a favourite destination to which they returned. She enjoyed
curling and dancing, and was a devoted fan of Jeopardy, so much so
that she refused to be disturbed by anyone when it was on! Cindy
enjoyed music around a campfire, especially Bob Seger and Leonard
Cohen, and loved to read.
In addition to her husband, Cindy is survived by her children,
Geoffrey Cunningham (Sandra) of Pennfield, and Stacey Green (Eric) of
Petawawa, ON; step children Patricia LeClair (Eric) of New Maryland
and Colleen Daigle (John Jordan) of Lawrence Station; grandchildren
Daniel and Ethan Cunningham, Whitney, Hannah and Amy Green, Ryan,
Erika and Sarah LeClair, Geena and Tonya Curran, Thomas Jordan, and
several other step grandchildren; great grandchildren Mason and Leah
Quock and Charlotte LeClair; siblings Pamela Mitchell (Gerald),
Patricia Giddens (Bill), Philip Justason (Colleen), and William
Justason (Carol); and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Cindy was predeceased by siblings Audrey
Craig, Robert, Ronald, Cheryl and Susan Justason.
Visitation will take place at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street,
St. Stephen, on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 6-8 PM. A Celebration
of Life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
For those who wish, remembrances to the Charlotte County Cancer
Society would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and
memorials may be placed at www.humphreysfh.com.
