Catherine Mary “Kaye” DeCoste 79 of Frankville , passed away September 10, 2019 at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in North Sydney, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Curnew.
Kaye loved her family and friends, who were always welcomed into her home, she enjoyed listening to and singing along with her favorite old country tunes and was happiest when her and Don would take a spin to Town. She was a caring lady and was the first to offer help to anyone in need.
She is survived by her long time partner and best friend Don DeCoste; daughter Peggy Sue Dawson, Halifax; sons Clifton(Sandy), Canmore AB; Lloyd, Mulgrave; Carmen (Brenda) Tantallon; grand children Paul Dawson, Cory and Niki Demont; Amanda, Haley, Shea Slauenwhite; Missy and Colton DeCoste; 8 Grand Children ; step children Lorraine, David, Rodney, Eric, Lisa, Larry, Scott; Sheldon along with their children; close nieces Judy and Catherine, she will be missed by her furry friend Noah and Mackerel .
Kaye was predeceased by her husband Paul N. DeCoste, son Lester J. , infant daughter Marlene, son in law Kenny Dawson; brothers Alex, Johnny, George Jr., Jerry, sisters Margie , Dianne and special sister Dorothy , niece Peggy and nephew Benny.
Resting in St. Paul’s Centre Havre Boucher, Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Friday from 12 -1:30 p.m., Funeral Mass will be offered Friday at 2pm from St. Paul’s Church, Havre Boucher with Rev. Allan MacPhie presiding, burial to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
Memorial Donations may be made to St. Martha’s Palliative Care .
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
