It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sylvia Brown announce her passing on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 79 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 57 years David Brown; daughter Jo-Anne (Kevin) McCarthy, grandsons: David McCarthy (Ashley) and Daniel McCarthy (Caitlin) whom she loved dearly; sister Joan (Tom) Chaulk; brother Max (Michelle) Anstey; brother-in-law Tom Brown (Florence – deceased); sister-in-law Deirdre Cirino (Mike – deceased); nieces and nephews: Donna (Keith) Warren, Dianne (Brian) Vincent, Troy Anstey, Elizabeth, Doug and Lynda Brown, Adam and Chad Warren, Grant and Myles Vincent; as well as many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Maxwell and Pearl Anstey. A special thank you to Dr. Welsh, Dr. Dunn, Dr. Lafferty and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit. Visitation will be held for family and close friends on Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Temple, O’Connell Drive with Major Frank Johnson officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Salvation Army Temple.
