Obituary of Roger Poirier
POIRIER, Roger
passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 75 years of age. Beloved husband of Iris (nee Humeniuk) for 32 years. Loving Dad of Paul and wife Jen. Adored Pepe of Ella and Emmie. Roger was predeceased by his parents, Anita and Raymond Poirier. Dearest brother of his twin Raymond (Andrea), his sister Anne Marie Younan, and his twin sisters, Paulette Hansen and late Pauline Craig. Brother-in-law of Bill Humeniuk (Olga), Anne Rudy, late Carl Humeniuk (Cheryl). Roger retired from Liftow Ltd. after many years of service as a mechanic. In retirement, he enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and always trying to look for a good deal. He could fix anything, and was always available to help anyone that needed it. Family, especially his grandchildren were his pride and joy. Family and friends are invited for visitation at Reid Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 87 Maidstone Ave. E., Es (519-776-4233) on Saturday, August10, 2019 from 1-4 pm with memories shared at 3 pm. If desired, memorial donations made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or Hospice of Windsor Es County would be appreciated.
