Obituary for Renate Mair
On August 14, 2019 Renate passed away at home with her husband by her side. She was in her 76th year. Renate was the beloved wife and best companion of Marvin Bruce Mair for 53 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Eduard and Amalie Tripke. Renate had a passion for her garden, swimming with friends, her home and pet cats. She will be remembered by family and friends for her thoughtful nature, sense of humour and loyalty. She was one of a kind and will be missed forever. Special thanks to Dr. N. Premi, Dr. K. Brimble, and the kidney function team at St. Joseph’s, Dr. T. Scocchia, the VON nursing team and the LHIN Palliative care team and the wonderful Personal Care workers with Para Med and St. Elizabeth for their support and kindness. Respecting Renate’s wishes: cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation, service, flowers or celebration of life. At Renate’s request, donations in her memory may be sent to: St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation/Kidney Function Programme, the Canadian Arthritis Society, the Hamilton-Burlington SPCA or the VON Hamilton.
