Elizabeth (Betty) Anne Prentice
1938 – 2019
Betty Prentice, 81 of Hampton, surrounded by family, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital
Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Doris (Ganong) LeVasseur.
Betty was a life time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Hampton Senior Resource Center and the “Red Hats” Society. She had an endless passion for doing crafts, knitting and Swedish weaving. Anyone visiting her prior to her declining health would find her “beavering” away at her latest project and more than willing to show you her finished works.
Betty is survived and will be sadly missed by daughters Cathy (Mike) Burgess and Nancy Prentice; sons Ralph (Kathy) Prentice and Michael (Beth) Prentice; sister Jean (Kevin) Williams; brothers William (Bev) LeVasseur and George (Theresa) LeVasseur; Grandchildren; Sarah, Mandy, Joshua, Natasha, Nicholas, Scott, Tracy and Amy, Great-grandchildren Abigail, Alexis, Thomas and Grace as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Arnold and Great grand-daughter Rebecca.
In honoring Betty’s wishes there will no visitation or funeral service. If desired, memorials in Betty’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Chipman Funeral Home & Crematorium. (339-6612). Memories and condolences may be shared through www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca
