Juri « George »‘s Obituary
KRIISK, Juri “George” (Major Ret’d) ~ After a lengthy illness, Juri “George” Kriisk passed away, July 29th., 2019, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton, with Marion and Lisa by his side. It is with very heavy hearts that we the family announce his death. George lived, in early days, in Vancouver. He attended schools there, went to UBC and then decided to join the military. He spent 32 years in the Airforce, in various positions. Lots of flying was done on the Argus and the Aurora. His retirement days were spent golfing, curling, stamp collecting and photography. He was a loving and caring family man. George was a quiet, highly intelligent person and took everything in stride, even his illness. There were no complaints; he just coped “his way.” He will always be loved and missed by his wife and family. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Marion, his daughter, Lisa (Dave) MacDougall, granddaughters, Jodi Ross and grandson, Erik St. Gelais. We wish to thank the Doctors and nurses at Soldiers Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care of George and the VON for all of their outstanding assistance and support. Donations in George’s memory can be made to the Red Cross or VON Annapolis Valley Branch. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448.
