It is with great sadness that the family of the late Julia LaFitte announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Saturday August 24th 2019 at the age of 96 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Bill (Judy) in Port au Port East, Joe(Linda) in Stephenville Crossing, Jerome(Brenda) in Fox Island River, Wayne (Moray) in Stephenville, Robert(Karen),Brian(Rona) all in Point Au Mal, her daughters: Mary Hynes in Ottawa, Kathleen(Ron) White in Stephenville, Barbara Ann (Danny) Copple in Arizona and a special grandson Alvin ( Janine) LaFitte in Pasadena. Also leaving to mourn her sister Madge (Everett) White in Ontario, two half- sisters Maggie (John) Ryan, Hannah (Martin) Ryan in Placentia Bay, her half-brother Ed (Ann) Miller in Placentia Bay, nineteen grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren ,one great great grandchild and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Mary Miller, her husband Raymond LaFitte, her daughter Leona, her son Comelius, grandson Remi, granddaughter Nikita and her brothers Ernest and Cyril. Visitation will take place from St. Vincent De Paul Chapel in Point au Mal on Monday August 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 from where the funeral will take place on Tuesday August 27th at 2:00 P.M. with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Point Au Mal.
