Joyce came to Canada with her two small children in 1955 where her husband was a serving member of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Subsequently, she was employed by the Toronto Dominion Bank and then Revenue Canada until her retirement in 1987. After the passing of her husband in 1999, she moved back to Regina to be close to her daughter.
Joyce’s passion was knitting and she bought a set of dolls for each of her great- granddaughters and made five outfits for each doll. She loved to bake and many people enjoyed her wonderful pastries. She spent many hours doing Sudoku and crossword puzzles and watching her favourite television shows.
At her request, Joyce will be cremated and a private graveside burial will be held.
