John Donald Hunt, of RR#4 Hanover, passed away at SBGHC-Walkerton on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. He was 87.
Born in Carlsruhe on January 17, 1932 to the late Edwin and Helen (nee Schnurr) Hunt. John was a hard working man and enjoyed the farm life. Farming his land and raising his family gave John great pride and accomplishment. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and active member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Carlsruhe.
Survived by loving wife Elizabeth « Betty » (nee Montag) of RR#4 Hanover. Loved father of John (Darlene) Hunt of Hanover, Rick Hunt of Port Elgin, Jane Voisin, Carolyn (Mark) Ducharme, Margie (Alan) Peebles all of Hanover and Elaine (Doug) Hill of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandfather of John (Becky), Greg, Andrew (Laura), Geoff (Nicole), Laura, Nicole, Michael (Chanel), Jamie (Angela), Connor, Alana, Stephanie, Zach and great grandchildren Wes, Ella, Harper, Noah and Cedric. Fondly remembered by his brother Jim (Carol) Hunt of Mississauga, sister Betty (Carl) Christensen of St. Catharines and sisters in law Lucille Hunt, Irene Hunt, Helen Hunt and Rosemary Hunt. Remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his daughter in law Sally, grandchildren Adam and Patrick, great granddaughter Charlotte in infancy, brothers Harry (Audrey), Bert (Joan), Gerald, Harold, Joe, Paul and sister Mary Helen.
