VANDERZWAAG, Grietje (nee Medemblik)
The LORD, at His appointed time called our mother and grandmother home to Himself. We are comforted by the words of Psalm 73: « My flesh and heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. » Grietje was the beloved wife of the late Ben. She was the loving mother of Ben and Jo-Anne Vanderzwaag, Jack and Darlene Vanderzwaag, †Tom Vanderzwaag, Patricia Vanderzwaag, Ron and Debbie Vanderzwaag, Sandra and Luke Sandink, Wendy and John… Read More » Schutten, and Liz and Ken Jager. She was the loving grandmother of 33 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of John and Ina Medemblik, Wietske Smids, Herman and Renske Medemblik, Dittie Medemblik, and Alice and Han Vissers.
Visitation at CORNERSTONE CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 353 Stonechurch Rd. E., Hamilton on Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. All are invited to join the family at a Graveside Service at CHAPEL HILL MEMORIAL GARDENS, 700 Chapel Hill Rd., Stoney Creek (just off Reg. Rd. 20), on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 9:45 a.m. and a Memorial Service will be held at Cornerstone Church at 11 a.m. Rev. J. Louwerse officiating.
