Geoffrey Lonsdale Dotterer
June 26, 1937 – August 20, 2019
Geoff passed away peacefully at Maitland Manor in his 83rd year after a long struggle with illness. He was the son of Herbert and Wilhelmina (McKee) Dotterer (both deceased). He was the husband of his beloved wife Lilo, and brother to Lorne Dotterer (deceased). He has three children: Robert, Beth, and Richard. He has six stepchildren: Laurie McChesney, David Wilson, Doreen nee Wilson (deceased), Kristine Lerch, Mathew Irwin, and Bill Irwin. He has two grandchildren: Billy and Kenny McAllister.
Geoff served in the U.S. military and worked as a lab technician in the U.S. and Canada. He was an accomplished painter and enjoyed cooking and gardening. As a youth, he earned the top honour of “Eagle Scout” in the Boy Scouts of America.
A funeral service will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to Berea-by-the-Water Lutheran Church, Goderich.
