Obituary of Gary James Gray
Gary passed away peacefully with his loving wife Joan and their family by his side at the L&A County General Hospital in Napanee on Thursday, July 4, 2019, in his 77th year. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joan, his children, Johnny Raine, Angela O’Neil (Aaron) and Lisa Gray, his grandsons Andrew O’Neil (Rachel) and Zachary O’Neil (Mariah) and great granddaughter Braelynn. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Sylvia Gray. Dear brother of Ken Gray (Myra), Nancy Mooney (Jerry), Heather Gray and Bill Gray (Sue) and missed by his nieces and their families. Gary’s two passions were music and golf. He and Joan were blessed with the many friendships they formed while residing in Windsor and through the Pointe West Golf Club. Gary retired from Hiram Walker & Sons Limited as Chief Engineer and General Supervisor. He thoroughly enjoyed his career and the many friends he made along the way. Gary will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Special thanks to all of the Doctors, Nurses and Kidd 6 staff at KGH and Doctors and Nurses in the Palliative Care Unit at L&A Hospital. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Nicola Matthews for lovingly caring for Gary over the last 4 months and Reverend Alvin Lasher for the precious time spent with Gary and his family during his final days. A Celebration of his Life will be held at the Napanee Legion, 26 Mill St., E. Napanee, on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 1- 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Napanee Legion would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Paul G.
