August 16, 1953 – August 17, 2019
Passed away suddenly but peacefully at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Saturday, August 17, 2019, one day after his 66th birthday. Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Eileen Kavanagh; brother, Bill and mother-in-law, Doris Scurrey. Leaving with love and many great memories, his loving wife and best friend, Maureen (nee Scurrey); sons Gerald, Robbie (Kayla and baby-to-be) and Darryl; daughter, Darlene (Steve); brother, Danny (Jayne) and his sisters, Anne and Vickie. Also, two grandchildren, Noah and Hayley; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; brothers-in-law, Frank (Barb), John (Beth), David (Wendy); sisters-in-law Donna, Colleen (David) and Bernice; his furry companions Sasha and Ali as well as many other relatives and friends, especially Les Tucker. Special thanks to Dr. Melissa Angel, the Paramedics and St. Clare’s Emergency staff. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Cauls Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Tuesday, Aug 20 from 10am-12pm and 2pm-9pm and on Wednesday, August 21 from 10am-2pm. Funeral Service will follow at 2pm in Caul’s Chapel. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Garry’s memory may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
