BRAYBROOK, Frederick William
June 7, 1934 – August 21, 2019
It is with sadness that our family wishes to announce the passing of Frederick Braybrook, after a brief stay at the Royal University Hospital – Cardiac Unit. He was predeceased by his parents Gertrude (1950) and Ronald (1974), his siblings Grace, Frank, Al, Irene, Betty, his son Kelly (1985) and wife of 63 years Marlene, in March of 2018. Fred is survived by his sons Terry, Guy, Bob (Simone), and Todd (Laurie). He was very proud of his 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was born in Watrous, SK and began school there, the youngest child of his family. The family moved to Saskatoon where he attended Victoria School and Tech Collegiate. He enjoyed working as a truck driver, police officer for the Saskatoon Police Service, and a salesman in heavy machinery, paper, and tires. He was a hardworking man who stood strong for what he believed in. He loved his family and spending time at the family cabin of 48 years, at Emerald Lake. He spent countless hours building projects for family and friends, in his work shop, and enjoyed many fish feeds and time in his boat on the lake. He will be dearly missed by family and many friends, but his sense of humor, dad jokes, and the love of his family lives on. We want to offer special thanks to the Coronary Care Unit staff and doctors at RUH for their excellent care and support in his final days. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (1738 Quebec Ave #26, Saskatoon SK. S7K 1V9). The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor St.) in Saskatoon. Arrangements in care of David Schurr, Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
