Emil’s Obituary
Emil Biendarra of Valleyview, passed away in McLennan hospital after a very brief illness at the age of 92. He was born on May 22, 1927 on the family farm near Clairmont Alberta and passed away August 4, 2019. He was predeceased by his wife Nina Biendarra, his older brother Ed Biendarra and his parents Albert and Marie Biendarra. He is survived by children Donna Bird, Henry Biendarra (Becky) and Audrey Dean (Dan), as well as his 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Emil was a long time resident of Valleyview, arriving there in the fall of 1956 to work for Northland Ulitities (later Canadian Ulitities) and even later Alberta Power. He was involved in the generation of power to the town of Valleyview and surrounding area for over 35 years before his retirement in 1985. During his time in Valleyview he was an avid baseball fan, player and coach of both the men’s team and little league teams for many years! His musical gift was displayed through playing various instruments in the Valleyview town band.
He was a deeply religious man and assisted in the establishment of the Lutheran Church in the town of Valleyview and attended faithfully! Besides the church and baseball, he was a dedicated family man who loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors no matter what the season. He also read extensively, and wrote his own column in the ValleyViews newspaper for a time, called « Far Out Stuff ».
Rest in peace Dad. We know you are now enjoying your much deserved rest in the company of the Lord.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 11:00am in the Valleyview Memorial Hall.
