On Friday August 2nd, 2019 at 9:26 in the morning, Beverley Luella Gellner lost her battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving husband and children. She was predeceased by her special grandmother, Luella Coleman (Hutchinson); mother, Doreen Coleman (Hornal); father, William “Pat” Coleman; along with her auntie Doris “Doh” Coleman; Laura Birg; and her two infant twin children, Mark and Micheal Gellner. Beverley is survived by her husband of 43 years, Perry Gellner; her loving children, Shaun Gellner and Erin (Gil) Moreau; grandchildren: Jason (Dorinda) Moreau, Carter Gellner, Ella Moreau, and Karma-Grace Moreau; great-granddaughter, Brylee Moreau; sisters: Patty (Dale) Reinhardt, Kelly (Jamie) Dorge, and Debbie (Blaine) Schick; along with special mentions of Margaret Newton as her best friend for life, and Karen Kozan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and adopted family. Beverley was born January 26th, 1955 in Mossbank, Saskatchewan during a big Saskatchewan blizzard. She was the oldest of 4 girls, she grew up riding and loving horses from a young age. The family eventually moved to Regina, SK where she met Perry when she was 19. She claimed when they first met that she never liked him much, but their love soon blossomed into a beautiful 43 year relationship that has taught the true definition of love to everyone that has known them. Throughout her life she had many jobs, but her favourite was as a care aid, which was a great love of hers to take care of people. She even owned a nursing home. Bev and Perry’s love created some of Beverley’s greatest loves of her life, her children and grandchildren that she made her life. From the moment Bev became a grandma her heart was forever changed, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Every child or friend was always welcome in the Gellner home, and goodies and smiles could always be found. The sound of her laughter and the genuine way she made you feel loved and special will be missed. Anyone who knew her knows her door was always open for a coffee and a chat. She had many adopted children and grandchildren that have become family over time. Creating a space in each person’s heart her life touched, leaving a void with her passing. The memories she’s created with each and every one of us will be cherished for all time. We are all greatly saddened by this loss of a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. A Come and Go Celebration of Bev’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the blue building at Dunnet Park in Avonlea, SK. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Michelle Surtees, Funeral Director 306-693-4550.
