Obituary for
Barry Dwyer
We regret to announce the death of Barry Dwyer on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Health Sciences North at the age of 81. Barry was an avid model railroader who enjoyed planes, trains and automobiles. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Masons and the OPP Veterans Association. He was a dedicated Police Officer serving on the Kapuskasing Police Force for 31 years and with the Ontario Provincial Police for 4 years. He is survived by his wife Sandra, his children; Leigh Tomlinson (Andrew Prokopick) of Orangeville, Joseph (Adrienne) of Woodstock, Sue Leishman (Tom) of Nepean and James (Amy) of Weeribee, Australia, his siblings; Nola Miller (Nick) of South Porcupine, Bill (Nancy) of Waterloo and Terry (Pat) of Kitchener as well as his grandchildren; Katherine, Ellen, Julia, Tanner, Ethan, Avery, William, Ayrn, Cameron and Lucas, one great-grandson arriving shortly and his furry companion Cleo. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Kapuskasing Royal Canadian Legion on Thursday, August 22 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Anne Stenabaugh presiding. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kapuskasing Royal Canadian Legion, the Sensenbrenner Hospital -CT Scan Fund or to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
