Andrew Curran, my “fine man o’ the Irish,” passed away in Vernon, B.C. on August 25, 2019, after a long illness which he faced with dignity and courage. Andrew was born in Dublin, Ireland and raised in London, England. His travels brought him to Canada in 1974; he was granted citizenship in 1983. His career as a consultant in the Province of Alberta (in Sports and Recreation, and Community Development) encompassed 30 years. Andrew is survived and deeply mourned by his wife Cheryl, sisters Dot, Carol, Madeleine, and Teresa, and brothers Peter and Michael who loved him dearly. He was held in deepest affection by his in-laws (Bob and Jill, Dawn, Maureen and Kirk, and Lenore), nieces, nephews, and dear friends. In memory of Andrew, donations may be made to the Vernon SPCA.
