Marjorie Blanche Hatt
1920-2019
Surrounded by her loved ones, Marjorie Blanche Hatt passed away at the
Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB at the age of 99. She was the
eldest child of the late Edgar and Clara (Conley) Justason and was
also predeceased by her late husband, Aubrey Hatt. A loving mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many, she is
survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Austin) McKay and Sandra (Peter)
Hill; five grandchildren: Dan Coulton, Shannon Logan, Judy Barry,
Jennifer Dougan and Christopher Hill; eleven great-grandchildren:
Emma, Danielle, Coulton, Colby, Denver, Kaylin, Carter, Xander,
Sawyer, Peyton and Braelynn, and one brother: Sheldon (Joan)
Justason.
Marjorie was predeceased by her siblings: Wilmot, Donald and Windsor
Justason and Theresa Anderson.
For many years, she worked at the Fundy Hospital and it was at that
facility which she lived her last days and was lovingly cared for by
those who became her second family and affectionately called her
« Nan ». She loved her « angels here on earth » and
showered them with kisses daily.
Marjorie was a member of the Pennfield United Baptist Church and a
founding member of the O.E.S., St. George and was a Past Matron of
this Chapter.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Pennfield United Baptist
Church with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The service will
be held from the church on Monday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Grant Alcorn
officiating followed by the interment in the Pennfield Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would
be appreciated by the family.
