It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Mother, Mary Wicks, at the age of 88, in Mississauga Ontario. For those fortunate enough to know her, Mary was a force of nature, filled with energy, love and laughter, and will be missed deeply by her children; Robert (Joan), Christopher (Gina), and Stacey (Noreen). She was a very proud Bobi (grandmother) to her four grandchildren; Cameron (Sarah), Shannon (Max), Colin and Kirsten. Predeceased by her parents, our beloved Baba Sisak (nee Mary Bercik), her father George Sisak, and her dear brother Michael Sisak (Desi), Mary is survived by her sisters Anne (John Vanda, deceased), Susan (Donald Wall, deceased) and her sister-in-law Desi. She will also be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the caring staff at King Gardens Retirement Residence, for their loving and compassionate care of our dear Mom over the past 2 years.
Family will receive condolences at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 chemin de la foret, Outremont, on Tuesday August 27th, 2019 from 10am-12pm, followed by a Chapel Service from 12-1pm, and a reception from 1-3pm.
In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations in Mary’s name may be made to the Canadian Lung Association or The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
