Obituary of Demitrios (James) Varoutas
VAROUTAS, Demitrios (James) – It is with great sadness, that the family of James Varoutas announces his sudden passing on Wednesday, August 14th, 2019, at the age of 82. James will forever be remembered by his wife of 48 years, Soula, his children, Chris and Magdalen (John Mouroukas), and his precious grandchildren, Maria and Manoli. James will also be fondly remembered by his siblings, Tom, John & Basiliki, and his numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. James was predeceased by his parents, Chris & Efstathia, and brother Athanasios. James was a devoted husband, father, friend and businessman. He was proud of his many years of involvement in the Greek Orthodox Church, Belleville. He will be best remembered for his generosity, wisdom, dedication to his family and strong faith. He will be deeply missed. Family and friends can pay their respects at Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273), on Friday, August 16th, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 70 Harder Drive, Belleville, on Saturday, August 17th, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Belleville Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, would be appreciated by the family.
