Roy Douglas Gray
May 01, 1932 – July 14, 2019
Gray, Roy Douglas, age 87 of Dartmouth, passed away at the Halifax Infirmary on Sunday July 14th, 2019.
Roy had a great love of cars and enjoyed going to the A&W on Pleasant Street on Thursday nights for the antique and classic cars. He collected scale cars and spent hours searching for just the “right” one to ass to his collection. In starting a conversation with him about them you would be pleasantly surprised at just how knowledgeable and articulate he was. He was very proud of his collection (and his “pride of ownership” was very evident.)
Roy had a “fondness” for coffee and his favourite “watering hole” was Tim Hortons at Five Corners, Pleasant Street where Joe Mills and his staff made the perfect cup and great meals. He lived to socialize with the “Coffee Crew” and he missed special friends Allen Richardson (dec) and Elieen DeYoung (dec).
Roy was always kind hearted and had a shy smile. He had many friends who looked out for him and will him.
A special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the 9th floor of the Halifax Infirmary for their care and kindness.
In respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
