James « Sonny »‘s Obituary
USHER, James Howard “Sonny” – age 80, Yarmouth, formerly of Miramichi, NB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the home of his nephew, Donnie (wife Claire), who both cared for Sonny this past year. Born December 25, 1938 in Halifax, he was a son of the late John and Kathleen (Young) Usher. Sonny served many years with the Canadian Armed Forces and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 10 Miramichi. He was also an avid sports fan having played ball and curled in his younger years and he was a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays. Sonny is survived by a sister, Patsy Usher, Sackville, NS as well as by many nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Hanlon (Graham) Usher, as well as by brothers Jack Usher and Donald Usher Sr.; sisters, Marie Loveridge, Shirley Sergant and Carol Usher. A funeral service will be held in Miramichi at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
