1945-2019
The passing of Mary Lou (Andrews) Hanley, wife of the late Harold M.
Hanley of L’Etete NB occurred unexpectedly at the Charlotte County
Hospital, St. Stephen NB on August 7, 2019. Born in L’Etete NB on
December 7, 1945, she was the daughter of the late James and Clara
(Leavitt) Andrews. A loving sister, aunt and cousin, Mary Lou is
survived by one brother: Keith Andrews (Myra) of L’Etete NB; nephews:
Jim Andrews (Trudy) and Doug Andrews (Jennifer) both of Moncton NB;
special cousins: Sandra LeBlanc of St. George NB and Marilyn Matthews
of Riverview NB; brothers-in-law: Ronald (Hilda), Cyril (Norma),
Clifford (Ella Mae) and Carl Hanley (Gloria) all of Back Bay NB and
Elery Hanley (Donna) of St. George NB; sisters-in-law: Beryl Huchins
(Calder) of Grand Manan NB and Mae Hanley of Back Bay NB; and many
friends.
Prior to retirement, Mary Lou was employed with The Bank of Nova
Scotia in St. George. She and her husband Harold enjoyed traveling and
being together. She was a member of the Green’s Point Lighthouse
Association and she will be missed by her family and friends.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. There will be no visitation. A service
will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 2:00 pm with
Rev. Jonathan Hatt officiating. Interment at the St. George Rural
Cemetery will be held at a later date. In Mary Lou’s memory, donations
to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Charlotte County Cancer
would be appreciated by the family.
