It is with heavy hearts that the Viani family announce the peaceful passing of Silvana Erina Viani on July 9, 2019. Silvana Viani, age 87 of Stratford rejoined her late husband of 67 years Giuseppe (November 25, 2017). Born in Lucca, Italy, daughter of the late Zeffiro and Maria (Lombardi) Viani. Loving mother of Giuliano Viani and wife Josie of Stratford, Claudia Viani and husband Douglas Beveridge of London and Monica Viani and husband Mitchell Lauzon of Stratford. Pround grandmother of Kennedy Hall and wife Brittany, Morgan Hall and fiancee Richie and Giuliana Viani. Great grandmother of Titus, Shiloh and Clover. Sister of Silvano Viani (Dora) and Piera Carubbi. Also survived by sisters-in-law Oliva Del Chiaro of Stratford, Maria Del Chiaro of Lucca, Italy, Carla Viani of St. Marys and several nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.
Predeceased by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lorenzo Carubbi, Pasquale (Ornella) Viani, Giuliano (Christina) Viani, Franco Viani, Giovanni Del Chiaro and Alberto (Berto) Del Chiaro.
Silvana and Giuseppe immigrated to Canada with their family in 1967. Silvana worked at FAG Bearings for many years until her retirement. She loved gardening, cooking, travelling and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Stratford. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, July 12, from 3:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, July 13, at 10 a.m. Entombment in the Garden Mausoleum at Avondale Cemetery.
