Monk, Bob
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Robert “Bob” Wesley Monk, of Durham, on Sunday, July 7th, 2019 in his 79th year. Survived by his devoted wife and best friend Glenna (nee Hopkins) of 58 years. Beloved father of Lorri Monk of Walkerton, Steve Monk and his wife Julie, and Vicki and her husband Randy McNabb, all of Durham. Cherished grandfather of Jillian Reece (Ryan), Rob Monk (Nicole), Richard Monk, Amanda Monk (Chris), Kyle McNabb (Jessica), Chantelle McNabb (Brandon), Danielle McNabb, and Mitchell McNabb (Chelsea). Fondly remembered by his 7 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother Gerald Monk and his wife Joyce of Brantford, his sisters Shirley Scarrow of Chatsworth, and Isabelle Nippard of Markdale and their families. Dear brother-in-law of Lorraine Monk, Edith Monk, Archie and Marilyn Lindsay, Laura Hopkins, and Doreen and Jim Weaver. Also remembered by the Caswell and Talbot families and by his many nieces and nephews. Godfather of Genevieve Woolcock. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Mary (nee Fisk) Monk, his brothers Merv, Doug, and James, and his sisters Jean Laughlin, and Marilyn Monk.

Friends may call at the Durham Legion, 271 Bruce Street North, Durham on Thursday, July 11th from 7 – 9 p.m.
Celebration of Life::
A funeral service celebrating Bob’s life will be held at the Durham Legion on Friday at 12 p.m., with visitation being held at the Legion prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:45 a.m. Interment at Durham Cemetery.
